By the Bay is located on the Sechelt Inlet, a spectacular inland sea. From every window you will see breathtaking views of majestic mountains rising above calm waters. From your doorstep you can see the bald eagles circling and blue herons flying across the evening sky. From your deck you can see porpoises swimming across 'Porpoise Bay.' From our hot tub you can look down the inlet and remember that the city is far away!

By the Bay offers you the choice of two private, fully contained view suites, each with its own distinctive character. A lovely walkway, fully lit in the evening hours, leads to a private courtyard and the welcoming front door of the Blue Heron Suite. The covered courtyard is furnished with comfortable deck chairs, table and barbecue, perfect for a peaceful morning coffee, a quiet read in the afternoon or an evening grill.

The Blue Heron Suite, designed to accommodate up to 4 people, offers a full kitchen complete with full size refrigerator and stove, microwave and toaster oven. It also has a three-piece bathroom and a separate bedroom. The queen size bed is comfortable and beautifully made up with its fine quality bedding. The Suite includes television, VCR, and stereo. Relax on the sofa in front of the gas fireplace while enjoying the incredible view of the inlet with its ever-changing wildlife.

Blue Heron Suite

The Hummingbird Suite has the same bright, airy, clean atmosphere, but with distinctly different decorative touches. Furnished with lovely rattan furniture with comfortable cushions, the suite has three rooms and can accommodate up to three people. This suite has a kitchenette, separate bedroom with a queen size bed and 3-piece bath. From here you can also enjoy the beautiful view of Sechelt Inlet, either sitting in the living room or outside on the lovely courtyard. Enjoy a barbecue outside or just sit in the comfortable chairs and soak up the atmosphere. This suite also includes a TV and VCR for entertainment.

Our lovely, comfortable suites are great headquarters from which to base your coastal explorations. For those looking for more amorous adventures we also offer Romance stays incorporating romantic seaside dinners and aerial tours.

Perhaps it's adventure you're looking for? Want to discover a coastline that offers some of the finest wilderness kayaking in the world? Sechelt Inlet offers miles of protected sea kayaking and is ideal for both beginner and experienced paddlers. We can put you in touch with our favourite kayaking company operating out of the inlet, offering rentals, excursions and great lessons for beginners. If you're already experienced, there is beach access just 150 feet away from us.

Or is hiking more your thing? We can offer everything from a quiet walk in the forest to the complete wilderness experience. Or is it Cycling? Diving? Boating? Golfing? By the Bay is centrally located for a wide range of outdoor activities and adventures to suit your needs.
