Armour's Beach Park
South of Gibsons off Highway 101, this swimming park is
the starting point of the annual Gibsons Sea Cavalcade and
Keat's Island Swim, every Canada Day weekend.
Brooks Park
On the boundary of Wilson Creek and Davis Bay just south of
Sechelt on Highway 101, this tiny park offers a playground
for the kids, a small field and picnic area. Access to Chapman
Creek and great hiking trails - watch for the life-sized carved
wooden gnomes.

Low water levels make this waterfall a
place of serenity in the summer months, but shoulder-season
visitors are treated to spectacular and noisy views of the
same falls.
Photo Sunshine Coast Photography
Glorious hiking on well-maintained trails, with rushing streams and lush foliage to feed the soul on the journey. Located off Highway 101 immediately south of the Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club. Trails are easy and well-marked, yet naturally spectacular. Playground, washrooms and playing fields.
Coopers Green Regional
Park
One km east of Halfmoon Bay on Redrooffs Road, Coopers
Green is a great picnic area and popular boat launch facility.
Easy diving access right from the beach - watch for giant
Pacific octopus that live here. Also home to the annual Halfmoon
Bay Country Fair, held every July.
Dan Bosch
Regional Park
The turn off to this day use park is just north of the
Ruby Lake Resort on Highway 101. The park offers a great view
of the popular Ruby Lake.
Flume Beach Park
At the junction of Beach Avenue and Flume Road in Roberts
Creek. A small beach and picnic park with great swimming and
huge rocks sculpted by the sea.
Francis Peninsula Park
This park is accessed by taking the Francis Peninsula turnoff
to Pender Harbour off Highway 101, north of the Garden Bay
turnoff. Francis Peninsula Road takes a number of looping
turns with many side roads, but stay on it all the way out
to the end and you will be rewarded.
Hackett Park
A small municipal park in the heart of the Village of
Sechelt, bounded by Trail Avenue, Dolphin, Shorncliffe and
Medusa streets. Two large playing fields, washrooms, playground
equipment and a tennis court. The huge trees and grassy banks
make a great picnic site. Venue for the annual Arts Council
Craft Fair.
Holland Park
At the south end of Gibsons Landing, this small jewel of green
in lower Gibsons is home to many Sea Cavalcade events, private
functions, and craft and music events.
John Daly Regional Park
On Anderson Creek, off Highway 101 just north of Madeira Park.
Turn west onto Garden Bay Road, left on Roosen Road and follow
to park entrance. Chum and coho salmon spawn in Anderson Creek
and can be viewed from mid-October to mid-November.
Katherine Lake Park
Falconbridge Road off the Garden Bay turnoff in Pender
Harbour. Electric hookups, lakefront with showers and lake
swimming. A great spot for an afternoon with small children,
pets are welcome too.
Kinnikinnick Park
A wooded park accessed by turning north on Trail Avenue in
downtown Sechelt. Trail will turn into Reef Road, then turn
left on Shoal Way, right on Lookout Avenue, and left on Ripple
Way to continue up to the Sechelt Golf and Country Club and
Kinnikinnick Park. There are several easy trails, marked at
the entrance, and playing fields at the end of Ripple Way.
Roberts Creek Regional
Park
At the mouth of Roberts Creek down the road aways from the
Roberts Creek General Store, at the junction of Roberts Creek
Road and Lower Road. Small day use park.
Rockwood Lodge
Even though it's not really a park, Rockwood Lodge in Sechelt
has the status of one in the hearts of Coast residents. Located
at the north end of Cowrie Street, Rockwood has some of the
most beautiful rhododendron bushes and magnolia trees on the
Coast. The gardens, with trellises, foot paths and the backdrop
of the Strait of Georgia, are a popular spot for wedding photos.
Snickett Park
This popular walking and beachcombing spot is located on Oceanfront
Esplanade, one block from the centre of Sechelt off Teredo
Street. You can walk from the north end of Snickett Park to
the south end of the Sechelt Indian Band lands by following
the clearly marked footpath. Great view of Trail Islands and
the tugs loading up with sand and gravel from the ConAgg pit
at the southern end of Trail Bay.
