Park
DIRECTIONS: Take Gower Point Road out of lower Gibsons,
follow it until it turns into Ocean Beach Esplanade, and you'll
find this park at the bottom.
FACILITIES: Day use only with picnic facilities and
plenty of beach access. This is a lovely drive, taking you
through the beautiful arbutus groves of Gospel Rock and a
lookout over the entrance to Gibsons Harbour.
Roberts Creek Provincial Park - camp
DIRECTIONS:
13 km south of Sechelt, 14 km northwest of Gibsons, this park
is split into two areas: a day use area on Beach Road in lower
Roberts Creek (take Flume Road off Highway 101 right down
to the bottom) with picnic tables and swimming beach, and
the 24-site campground accessed from Highway 101 at the top
of Rat Portage hill, about 6 km south of Wilson Creek. It's
across from the only dedicated turnout on the highway between
Gibsons and Sechelt.
FACILITIES:
Porpoise Bay Provincial Park - camp
DIRECTIONS: At the southern end of Sechelt Inlet. Turn north at the lights in Sechelt (Highway 101 and Wharf) and follow Wharf Road to Porpoise Bay Road. Turn right and follow it for roughly 2 km, turn left at the wooden park sign.
FACILITIES:
Reservations are required for Porpoise Bay Park. Call Discover Camping at 1-800-689-9025, quote Campground #37. A fee of $6.42 applies, payable by Visa or MasterCard.
Sargeant Bay Provincial Park
DIRECTIONS: 5 km north of Sechelt, take the left for Redrooffs Road heading up the first big four-lane hill out of West Sechelt. Follow Redrooffs for about 1 km, turn left at the Sargeant Bay sign.
FACILITIES:
Garden Bay Provincial Park
DIRECTIONS: 37 km north of Sechelt.
FACILITIES:
Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park
DIRECTIONS: Near the northern tip of Sechelt Peninsula. Head north along Highway 101 to Egmont. Watch for clearly-marked signs to Skookumchuck Park.
FACILITIES:
Smuggler's Cove
DIRECTIONS: Wilderness Camping only! Follow the provincial park signs in to Smugglers Cove and walk in to the camping area.
