Chaster Provincial Park
DIRECTIONS: Take Gower Point Road out of lower Gibsons, follow it until it turns into Ocean Beach Esplanade, and you'll find this park at the bottom.
FACILITIES: Day use only with picnic facilities and plenty of beach access. This is a lovely drive, taking you through the beautiful arbutus groves of Gospel Rock and a lookout over the entrance to Gibsons Harbour.

Roberts Creek Provincial Park - camp

DIRECTIONS:
13 km south of Sechelt, 14 km northwest of Gibsons, this park is split into two areas: a day use area on Beach Road in lower Roberts Creek (take Flume Road off Highway 101 right down to the bottom) with picnic tables and swimming beach, and the 24-site campground accessed from Highway 101 at the top of Rat Portage hill, about 6 km south of Wilson Creek. It's across from the only dedicated turnout on the highway between Gibsons and Sechelt.

FACILITIES:

24 Campsites, including one double unit
Day use and picnic and park area 1.4 km from site.
There are no showers or hot running water, but lots of gorgeous trees and green privacy.

Porpoise Bay Provincial Park - camp

DIRECTIONS: At the southern end of Sechelt Inlet. Turn north at the lights in Sechelt (Highway 101 and Wharf) and follow Wharf Road to Porpoise Bay Road. Turn right and follow it for roughly 2 km, turn left at the wooden park sign.

FACILITIES:

Superb area for family camping & picnics.
84 campsites (including 8 doubles)
wheelchair accessible campsites and trails
cyclist camping area for up to 40 people
group site for up to 80.

Park interpreter and campground host in the summer.
Located in a second-growth forest with impressive cedar, fir, hemlock, maple and alder trees.
Good access to Angus Creek, a salmon-spawning waterway.
Excellent base for kayakers exploring Sechelt Inlet.

Reservations are required for Porpoise Bay Park. Call Discover Camping at 1-800-689-9025, quote Campground #37. A fee of $6.42 applies, payable by Visa or MasterCard.

Sargeant Bay Provincial Park

DIRECTIONS: 5 km north of Sechelt, take the left for Redrooffs Road heading up the first big four-lane hill out of West Sechelt. Follow Redrooffs for about 1 km, turn left at the Sargeant Bay sign.

FACILITIES:

Day use
boat launch
marsh area for walking
sandy beach
intertidal life.
Canoeing, kayaking, board sailing, scuba diving and fishing in the bay. The diverse habitats in this park support a large variety of birds. See the salmon enhancement facilities and spawning grounds.

Garden Bay Provincial Park

DIRECTIONS: 37 km north of Sechelt.

FACILITIES:

163 hectares accessible by vehicle & boat.
Waterfront day-use & picnic area along a footpath from the parking lot.
Dinghy dock provides small craft access to shore.
Good salmon fishing and swimming.

Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park

DIRECTIONS: Near the northern tip of Sechelt Peninsula. Head north along Highway 101 to Egmont. Watch for clearly-marked signs to Skookumchuck Park.

FACILITIES:

Vantage point for the famous Skookumchuck tidal rapids. Beautiful 2 km hike into the viewpoint - be sure to consult a local tide book for peak viewing times (although the walk is great on its own).You can pick up tide information at the Sechelt Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Centre or check out the Tide Charts here.

Smuggler's Cove

DIRECTIONS: Wilderness Camping only! Follow the provincial park signs in to Smugglers Cove and walk in to the camping area.

FACILITIES:

5 sites - wilderness camping only!
First come, first served.
Pit toilets
Rocky beach
