Goodbye 2011

What a fantastic image to keep in my mind as we head into 2012 on the Sunshine Coast. This image was taken on the powerline trail that links up with Hidden Grove Park and the Sechelt Heritage Forest in Sandy Hook, on the afternoon of December 31, 2011.

May our beloved Sunshine Coast retain its smallness, its myriad intimacies, and the sense of wonder that pervades our way of life, protecting us from world-weary cynicism and encouraging us to share our time, talents, and treasures with each other and with those who wish to join us.
