From Gibsons to Roberts Creek, salmon fishers troll along the shelf edges; Sechelt, Halfmoon Bay, Secret Cove and Pender Harbour are popular starting places for boaters and anglers.
Great spots to fish include: Storm Bay in Sechelt Inlet, Halfmoon Bay east of Jeddah Point, Smugglers Cove Marine Park (May to Sept.), Cranby Creek and Gillies Bay off Texada Island, Potter Bay, Lasqueti Island, Tucker Bay and Duncan Cove.
There are more than 30 marinas up and down our Coast, offering everything from boat rentals to live bait.
For freshwater fishing, check out the trout, cutthroat and kokanee of Sakinaw and Ruby Lakes at the north end of the Coast, and the Powell Forest Canoe Routes 8 lakes.
