Sunshine Coast Camping & RV Vacations
The Sunshine Coast is one of the most unspoiled camping areas within one hour of Vancouver, with foot & vehicle (and bike of course) access via BC Ferries, and floatplane/land aircraft service. Camping ranges from private resorts with permanent and temporary RV spaces, beautiful Provincial Parks with beach access and picnicking areas, to hike-in tenting sites both on the Coast and on nearby islands, to boat-only wilderness camps along the edges of Sechelt Inlet's fjords and inlets.
The main camping months on the Coast are May through October, and peak season of late June through Labour Day can be very busy and reservations are recommended. Off-peak (May, June, September and October) are ideal conditions, with no-wait ferries, the pick of campgrounds, more sounds of nature, and excellent wildlife and shorebird watching.
